Bend Oregon’s High Desert Museum is Great Way to Spend an Afternoon

The High Desert Museum has long been a favorite place to spend some quality time with family and friends! Yesterday we spent a couple hours on a snowy Central Oregon afternoon with our 6 year old and 18 year old going through the awesome new “Living World of Reptiles” exhibit along with the many other ongoing exhibits. There is plenty to keep everyone interested and fascinated. A few of the live animal exhibits include a Birds of Prey Center, Otter Cave, and Wild Cats of the West.  We love going through the ongoing historical exhibits of Spirit of the West and By Hand Through Memory. Our 18 year old has been going to the High Desert Museum since he was very little and still enjoys it.

The High Desert Museum is located a few minutes south of Bend Oregon off Highway 97. Check out the High Desert Museum’s website to get hours, location and prices. We have found that the annual family membership which allows for unlimited visits to be one of the best deals for entertainment in Central Oregon!
